The Asheville Home Builders Association recognizes members who epitomize the AHBA goals of Doing Business with Members and Bringing Professionalism to the Industry through their AHBA Annual Awards each year at the Fall Awards Gala.

This year, the AHBA is excited to honor three exemplary members for their dedication to the Association and the Home Building Industry throughout Western North Carolina.

Affiliate Member of the Year

Stephanie Chapman of Advance Cabinetry

Stephanie is genuinely involved in the ABHA throughout the year through her consistent participation in monthly AHBA Events.  Whether at an AHBA After Hours, the Battle of the Builders, Holiday Party or Annual Meeting – she embodies the benefit of networking and building relationships with other members of the AHBA.  Her positive attitude always shines through with anyone she meets.  She goes above and beyond with her dedication to the building industry and support of the AHBA and its mission.

Associate Member of the Year

Rob Fisher of White Insurance Agency

Rob is one who always brings a helping hand and encouraging word everywhere he goes!  This year’s recipient grows the association through pro-active membership recruitment, personally bringing new and prospect members to the AHBA office to introduce them to the association and staff to make an in person connection.  This person is a true ambassador of the AHBA wherever he goes and is always welcoming new members in many different avenues.  This member attends most if not all AHBA events offered throughout the year, Chairs the Membership Committee and currently serves on the AHBA Board of Directors.

Builder of the Year

Brad Rice of Bellwether Design-Build, Inc.

Brad joined the Asheville HBA in 2002.  Since joining, He has regularly entered a home in the Parade year after year. In 2015, this Builder joined the Parade of Homes Committee where he actively serves to help make the Parade the best it can be. This past year and continuing to volunteer in this role now, this member willingly lends his time and talent with high schools students as a Builder Mentor in the Playhouse Showdown community project that ultimately supports future workforce development in the building industry.
