AHBA Staff Announcement

I am writing to let you know an important update about my position as Executive Officer with the Asheville Home Builders Association.

My family and I are relocating to Charleston, SC where my husband accepted an exciting new position with his current employer.  Following a very tough decision, this is an opportunity we cannot pass up and believe it to be the best decision for our family at this time.

Please know that I am leaving here with mixed emotions; excited about this opportunity and new adventure for my family, but a heavy heart to depart from such an incredible role and association where I have encountered so many exceptional members, colleagues and friends.

Members of the AHBA Leadership Team and I have created a transition plan where I will stay on through mid-November. In the desire for the best transition for staff, the association, and its stakeholders, the search process for my replacement began promptly upon receiving my official resignation. Your AHBA Leadership team and dedicated staff are prepared to support its membership and the organization through this transitional time.

Thank you so much for allowing me the opportunity to serve the AHBA, its community of members, businesses and our local residential building industry.   It has been a pleasure working with you and your business on many different levels over the last 9 years.  There have been so many enjoyable and rewarding highlights in my time with the AHBA and I am grateful for the growth I’ve experienced alongside supporting our members with many resources and benefits since I started my journey with this organization in November 2009.

Without a doubt, this Association is on the road to continue to prosper and do many great things with the outstanding building community that it serves.
