FAQs to the NCHBA

Q: Why does advocacy like this matter?
A: It’s important to have the voices of WNC builders at the table. One example is the lobbying efforts and government work that the NCHBA did to make sure that construction workers were deemed “essential” during the pandemic shutdowns. This advocacy made it possible for those in our industry to keep up with their work (safely) when so many businesses were stalled.

Q: How can I make a financial difference?
A: Consider Donating to NC BUILD-PAC. The Political Action Committee of the North Carolina Home Builders Association (NC BUILD-PAC) is a non-partisan committee organized for the specific purpose of raising funds to support pro-housing candidates of all parties at the state and local levels of government.

Q: What kind of benefits are there from NCHBA, besides advocacy?
A: As a NCHBA member you are eligible for rebates from 50 of the country’s leading Manufacturer Brands. Members can get informational education and attend events like the 21st Century Building Expo & Conference. You can learn more about NCHBA membership benefits here.
